Ok I know some pet owners like to dress up their cats and their dogs – sometimes it’s even semi practical ie a winter coat for a short haired dog … but since when have people started dressing up their pet ferrets?
I have to admit it’s pretty cute in that red hat … but still … it’s kind of odd isn’t it?

Don’t we just dress up our pets for our own entertainment? My Callie, a corgi, wears a two-piece bikini. She is a lady, you know.

Wow, just the miracle happened at a glimpse at your lovely hero. While viewing the picture , I heard a knock on my heart and as I opened the door, the Fairyland entered into my room.
That was not a fantasy. Not a pet looked at me from your photo, but my best friend. It was just magical adventure. Salad days returned. The Spring came again.
As regarding your question, I too don’t like when people dress their pets, but that’s already other story. Meanwhile the photo gifted the unforgettable mind travel to me. Thank you!!!!

There are some functional clothes as well, as you mentioned some dogs really do need a coat when it’s cold. And depending on where they live or what work they do, they could greatly benefit from wearing something like boots as well (i.e. sled dogs, rescue dogs).
I’ve never dressed up my dog or ferrets (though I’ve been tempted to buy my ferrets antlers). I did once make my dog wear a t-shirt after surgery so she couldn’t scratch the stitches.
In general, I’m not too happy about the whole dress-up thing. But provided the pet is comfortable with it and it isn’t forced to wear something, it does make for incredibly cute pictures 🙂
